"Level 1 teacher training... is for me a space of learning—the collaboration of knowledge, life and practice is a wholistic integration of student/ teacher/ class and hearted connections. Guru Dass gifts a life of lived experiences, his storytelling and ability to connect history, experience and consciousness creates an opening for the student to experience their own journey within the collective meanderings of life...This is a teaching, a retreat, a gathering, a respect for the nurturing of a life journey within the awareness of the sacred path we may all live... and the connections we have with people, spirit and nature". - Gav · Melbourne

Normally most people enter Bali with an on-site 30 day visa, which is free of cost for over 140 countries. But in our case you need a special visa, which you need to apply for at the Indonesia Embassy in your country. You will need to state the purpose of your travels (study) and need to present a sponsor letter, which Desa Seni will provide once you have registered and paid for the course. If you have any questions please contact us as soon as possible. Visas can take up to 3 weeks to be processed, so we encourage you to begin applying around 2 months before the course begins. The costs for these visas depend on the country you are applying from and the passport you hold, so you will need to inquire with the local Indonesian Embassy about the costs in your country. You will need a valid passport with at least 6 months before it expires. Once you've registered and made your payment you must request Desa Seni a letter of sponsorship to apply for your visa. FAQ
Q: Do I need to fill out all of this paperwork to register? A: YES! We need you to register online and pay the deposit before we can consider your registration complete. Q: Do we have to go to sadhana in Bali? A: Yes. Sadhana is part of your hours for the course and is required. Q: I’m new to Kundalini Yoga - what's sadhana? A: Sadhana is a 2-hour morning practice consisting of prayer, yoga and meditation. It's powerful and uplifting! For more information about sadhana, including Yogi Bhajan's answers to common questions about sadhana, please see the KRI website. Q: Are there any scholarships or work exchange positions available? A: Unfortunately no. Q: Is there any way to connect with my fellow trainees prior to the course? A: Yes. We have a special Facebook group for all of our trainings worldwide. Once you register, you'll receive an email inviting you to join the group. There you can post questions, photos, videos and chat with your fellow trainees! It`s also a great resource once you come home. Q: Will we get our books and materials in Bali? A: Yes, the course will be providing you your own course materials. Q: It seems like there is a lot of coursework - when does it have to be done? A: KRI and the KRI Teacher Training team reserve the right to grant KRI Level 1 certification based solely on their discretion and evaluation of each student’s readiness to be a Kundalini Yoga Instructor. This evaluation is based on successfully meeting the course requirements. You are required to submit your certification requirements (with the exception of one day of White Tantric) to International College of Kundalini Yoga within six months after the last day of the course, the deadline is November 15th, 2017. After six months, International College of Kundalini Yoga will not be liable to hand out late certificates. The only certification requirement that may be completed within 12 months of the last day of the course is White Tantric. If you would like to be certified, please have all certification requirements turned in on time. If for any reason you cannot complete all of the requirements for certification and within the given deadlines, please contact us ASAP so we can revaluate your situation. Otherwise you will not be certified. If you are not granted certification, you have the right to appeal to KRI, whose decision shall be final. Q: I read that I need to attend 20 Kundalini Yoga classes prior to the course. What if there aren't any Kundalini Yoga teachers in my area? A: To see if there are any Kundalini teachers in your area please go to www.kundaliniresearchinstitute.org and click on Teacher Training. If you do not have a Kundalini Yoga teacher in your area you can purchase a DVD by any certified Kundalini Yoga teacher such as Gurmukh Kaur or Nirvair Singh: www.kundaliniresearchinstitute.org, www.spiritvoyage.com or www.satnam.eu. The teacher just needs to be certified Level 1 in Kundalini Yoga. Q: How can I find a place to take White Tantric Yoga? A: Check with www.whitetantricyoga.com - there are courses all around the world. Q: When can I take White Tantric Yoga? A: You can take White Tantric Yoga from May 2017 to April 2018. Taking White Tantric Yoga prior to the start of the course will NOT count toward your requirement for the course. Q: Who do I contact if I have additional questions? A: Please contact us by email to gurudass@gmail.com. Q: How do I receive my certificate? A: All students earning a Level One KRI certificate will receive an electronic .pdf file of their certificate from International College of Kundalini Yoga. We do recommend getting your visa before you travel to Bali to avoid any problems. Q: Do you have recommendations for booking my flight? A: There are many options for finding a flight. It all depends on where you`re flying out from. The internet is your best source to explore your options. A couple of sites that may prove helpful are www.orbitz.com, www.cheaptickets.com and www.expedia.com. You may also wish to use a travel agent to assist you in booking your flight. Q: Where should I fly into and when should I arrive? A: You need to fly into Denpasar Airport in Bali, arriving no later than April 14th, 2017. Check in begins at Desa Seni at 10:00am on April 15th, 2017. If it is possible, we highly suggest that you arrive in Bali two or three days in advance of the course beginning. This is to help you rest and recover from jet lag before the course begins. Q: When should I get to Desa Seni? A: You need to be in Bali to check in for the course on April 15th, 2017. Check in begins at 10:00am. Check in ends at 12:30 pm on April 15th, 2017. If you are staying at Desa Seni you will also need time to check into your room. Q: How do I get to Desa Seni? A: The best and easiest way is by taxi, at least on the first day. The address is: Desa Seni, A Village Resort Jl. Subak Sari #13 Pantai Berawa, Canggu - Bali Telp. +62 361 844 6392 It is located about 10 - 15 minutes from Seminyak, depending on traffic, and about 45 - 60 minutes from Denpasar Airport. Q: How about getting around if I am not staying at Desa Seni? A: Many people rent scooters to get around Bali. If you are staying in another hotel it might be a good idea to get one, as you will need to come to Sadhana every morning at 4:30 am. Rentals are cheap and can be done through most hotels themselves. Otherwise you can arrange taxis to pick you up from the hotel in the morning and from Desa Seni in the evening. Q: What should I pack? A: Once you register you will be provided with a suggested packing list. We suggest you bring one large suitcase or duffle as checked luggage and one small bag or knapsack as your carry on. Bring an empty duffle packed into your suitcase to bring home your purchases. Don't overpack. Remember, airlines are imposing stricter guidelines for luggage and weight. Please check with your airlines to see what their luggage policy is. Make sure the luggage you bring is luggage you can handle carrying. We recommend a bag with wheels for easier carrying. Q: Do I need vaccinations? A: There are no required vaccinations for travel in Bali. We suggest you consult with your doctor if you are concerned about this issue, and do whatever makes you feel comfortable. There are also sites online with helpful information. Q: What about supplements and medicines? A: Once you register you will be sent a list of recommended supplements and suggestions to stay healthy during your time in India. Whatever medications you are required to take at home, please continue to take them while in Bali. |

The only KRI approved Level 1 Immersion course in Bali! |
KRI (Kundalini Research Institute) is the official international training organization that promotes the teachings of Yogi Bhajan and oversees teacher training programs in 52 countries, graduating over 3000 new Kundalini Yoga teachers annually. The Level One KRI Aquarian Teacher Training Program consists of a 220 hour program (180 hours in class; 40 home practice). Graduates of Level One earn the title of KRI Certified Instructor of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®, are registered with the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (IKYTA) and fulfill the Yoga Alliance RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) 200-hour requirement. The primary regulatory body for Kundalini Yoga teachers is IKYTA, not Yoga Alliance.
Beware of non-KRI certified Kundalini Yoga teacher trainings! Be aware during your search for a teacher training about who your trainers are, their qualifications and legitimacy, and what institution you will be certified by once you graduate. Too many students have been misinformed and have had to re-take their training with legitimate teachers once they discovered they were not properly trained or certified after completing their training. This is a KRI certified Level 1 teacher training course taught by KRI certified teacher trainers. |
