THE BOATS
We will be sailing in 8-guest catamarans. The number of boats will depend on the number of people. Beach excursions and classes happen throughout the day and early evenings. Guests are taken by dinghy from the boats to shore, and at night the boats will raft up in serene protected harbors for meals, or anchor just a short distance offshore.
Each boat comes with several cabins for guests, including full or queen sized beds, closets, private bathrooms, and other amenities. There is a shared kitchen space, as well as outdoor areas for lounging, reading, connecting, and simply enjoying the island surroundings.
The retreat sailboat comes with a personal chef. Meals are determined by the teacher but are usually pescatarian, vegetarian or vegan (with additional options for detox programs). We can handle any dietary restrictions, and ask guests to provide us with their dietary preferences before the trip. Guests are also welcomed to our “open kitchen policy” where they are invited to learn, share, and participate in all of the meals. We are happy to arrange additional amenities such as deep tissue/thai massage, reiki, dive instruction, paddleboarding, kiteboarding, water sports etc.. delivered directly to the boat. These services are extra and not included in the price of the retreat journey.

OUR HOSTS
Tyler, our captain and co-founder of Bow Havens, grew up sailboat racing in the Virgin Islands and is a passionate sailing instructor at all levels. In addition to the optional sailing instruction, guests can take advantage of his local knowledge for some of the best coral reef snorkeling areas, beaches to swim with turtles, cliff jumping and nature hikes, and simply getting to understand this unique culture the local way. He has completed his teacher training as a Kundalini Yoga instructor at the KRI Immersion course in France in July 2017.
Elizabeth, our second cofounder and first mate, is a Virgin Islands resident and yoga instructor hailing from the North East. She has hand selected class venues for shade, comfort and aesthetic. She also uses her former corporate world skills to handle logistics and guests’ needs. These retreats are built by the same people who love to partake in them, so you can be assured a seamless and expansive week on board.

This is what a typical day of our journey will look like:
